So excited...:D

So much so that I can't stop talking about it. I finally finished my summer baby! Rewrote a few chapters a few times and now it's done. I don't plan on changing anything else major. I don't plan on it. But with me, you never know. It's got me reconsidering NaNo next week.

I'm so excited about this one, because it's one I actually think is good enough to put out there. Or at least will be.

What to do? Take a break and jump into a newbie next month or start on revisions right away? I'd like to sub in December, but I'm considering taking my time and waiting until February. December's a busy month anyway. Hmmm...decisions, decisions.

  1. CONGRATS...take a break and then revise...or be like me and get shiny ideas every second lol seriously that is awesome the best feeling when you work hard at a project and type the end...

  2. My suggestion: Take a break. Don't revise immediately. Everything I read says to walk away from it. I know it works best for me, but like you, I have a habit of having to REWRITE more often than edit. ;)

The other thing is, I've been told that December is like August in agent land. It's time for them to catch up and they don't request new material. It's a "vacation". I've always been told that if I can't send it off by Thanksgiving (US, lol) to wait until the new year.

Good luck with whatever you do, hon.

  3. Great advice, ladies! I'm taking heed! That doesn't mean November won't be a busy month though :) I think I'm going to wait until this WIP is 100% shiny before I even think about sending it anywhere. So who knows when that will be. I'm think February or March, maybe later.
